Under Canadian law (Copyright Act), we will review all notices in good faith. If the claim is valid, we may remove or disable access to the infringing material and may forward your notice to the user responsible.
This process aligns with the “Notice-and-Notice” requirements under Canadian copyright law.
DMCA (for U.S. Rights Holders)
For copyright holders based in the United States or claiming rights under U.S. law, we also honor DMCA-style notices. Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Investigate and take appropriate action within 1 working week, which may include removing or disabling access to the infringing material.
- Notify the user responsible and allow an opportunity to submit a counter-notice if they believe the removal was in error.
Counter-Notice
If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you may submit a counter-notice to the same email address including:
- Your full name
- Contact information
- A link to the material that was removed
- A statement explaining why you believe the removal was incorrect
- A statement consenting to jurisdiction and affirming that you accept service of process from the complainant
Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material unless the original complainant files a legal action within the timeframe permitted by law.
Repeat Violations
We reserve the right to remove content or block access for users who repeatedly violate copyright laws, in accordance with Canadian law and any applicable DMCA guidelines.
